VOLUNTEER AT THE PANTRY
The Food Pantry’s success in addressing food insecurity is directly related to its all-volunteer team and the incredible support of our Scituate residents. We have a dedicated core team of volunteers that have undergone extensive training and are able to
commit to a regular schedule so we know our clients' needs will always be met. The best way to join our core team
is to sign up for some Friday deliveries to get your feet wet and see what we're about! We tend to
"promote from within" and we'll let you know if a regular spot opens up.
We receive deliveries from the Greater Boston Food Bank on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month and send out a Sign Up Genius to fill these spots as our deliveries are confirmed. We can also often use extra hands for special events and to assist in processing donations, restocking our shelves and unloading food deliveries. Additional volunteer opportunities include delivery drivers for our homebound clients, for which a Sign Up Genius is sent out quarterly, as well as weekend opportunities to help in picking up donations from some of our partner stores in the area. Please fill out the form below if you are interested in being added to our list, or if you have a special talent you think we could use. We love our volunteers!

PLAN A FOOD DRIVE
Interested in hosting a food drive, a fundraiser, and/or bringing a group to tour the pantry? We especially enjoy getting our local students, scouts and sports teams involved so they can have a behind the scenes tour and start understanding what food insecurity means to their own neighbors. Let us know what you're thinking of and we'll try to accommodate you!
We ask that you contact the pantry before planning a food drive so we can help you with a list of items needed
and coordinate when to drop off your items. We can also give you some creative ideas for success!
We appreciate all of the amazing community groups that organize throughout the year. Every event and food drive helps!
